Is Okonkwo a strong or Flawed character?

 

               Yes, Okonkwo was a very powerful in the story. He was a self-made, well respected throughout the nine villages and even beyond. He becomes successful in many ways. He was powerful, very wealthy, holds a high-ranked position in Umuofia clan, has three wives and eight children and was known for his skill as a wrestler and warrior. “Okonkwo’s fame had grown like a bush-fire in harmattan.”  Echebe uses a metaphor to compare when he said Okonkwo fame had grown like a bush-fire. Okonkwo accomplish his fame and power so fast as a a young age.  Okonkwo gained power his reputation in a young age with physical power, courage and reputation. He was so proud for what he accomplished and he could not stand less successful men. He continued to gain his fame and power through his adulthood. for all of his desire to be strong is hunted by fear.Okonkowo has a profound fear of failure and being considered a weak. One of his fears is due to his dad's failure and  as result he did not want to be like his dad.
